Small wooden houses and garden sheds from 9 m²

CasaModul builds garden sheds and small wooden houses from 9 m², ideal as storage, a workshop, a studio or a guest house. Our wooden cabins are made from 44 mm treated Nordic pine, which stands up well to the Canarian climate.

    Garden sheds: models and prices

We offer garden sheds in three sizes: 3×3 m (9 m²), 3×4 m (12 m²) and 3×5 m (15 m²). Each wooden shed comes with roof, door and windows included. These are affordable garden sheds with the best build quality on the market: solid construction at an accessible price.

What a small wooden house can be used for

A garden cabin can serve as storage for tools and furniture, a garden office or studio, a guest house, a DIY workshop or a playroom. The 15 m² model can even be fitted with a kitchen and bathroom for use as a compact home.

Cabins, sheds and small houses: which word applies

The terms get used interchangeably, but in practice they describe different uses. A garden shed or wooden store is storage space: tools, bikes, outdoor furniture, firewood. A small wooden house usually means something habitable — a studio, an office or guest accommodation. We build both formats with the same 44 mm treated Nordic pine construction; what changes is the size and the interior fit-out.

Which wooden cabin to choose for which use

For storage or a workshop, 9 m² is plenty: a workbench, shelving and large tools all fit. For a garden studio or office, the 12 m² model with the large window is the comfortable minimum — the difference is less about floor area than about daylight. If you need self-contained accommodation, you need the 15 m² with a bathroom: without its own facilities, a cabin still depends on the main house for everything.

Affordable wooden cabins without cutting the construction

The market is full of cheap garden sheds with 19 or 28 mm wall thickness. They don't last long in an island climate: they warp through humidity cycles and bleach in the sun. Our 44 mm isn't a luxury — it's the thickness at which timber behaves predictably in the Canaries. Our cabin prices are firm and include manufacturing and professional installation; transport to the plot is quoted separately.

    Fast assembly in Tenerife

Our cabins arrive pre-assembled and are installed in one to two days. Professional installation across Tenerife, Gran Canaria and the whole archipelago. No heavy foundations needed: a level concrete base or adjustable pads is enough.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I need a permit to install a wooden cabin?

It depends on the town hall, the size and how the land is classified. A garden cabin without fixed foundations is normally a simpler procedure than a permanent dwelling, but the rules differ from one municipality to another in the Canaries. Tell us where the plot is and we'll tell you which procedure applies.

What base does a wooden cabin need?

No heavy foundations are needed. A levelled base is enough: a concrete slab, existing paving or adjustable pads. What matters is that it is flat and that water doesn't pool underneath. If you don't have a base yet, we assess it during the visit.

Can the cabin be moved later?

Yes. Because it isn't tied into a masonry foundation, the cabin can be dismantled and reassembled elsewhere on the plot or at another address. That is why it works well on rented land, or on plots where the final position hasn't been decided yet.

How well does timber hold up in the Canarian climate?

We use 44 mm treated Nordic pine. The treatment protects against sea humidity and solar radiation, the two things that punish timber hardest on the islands. Like any outdoor timber it appreciates a fresh coat of wood stain every few years; with that upkeep it lasts decades.

Can you live in a wooden cabin?

The 15 m² model (3 × 5 m) includes a bathroom and can be fitted with a kitchen, so it works as a minimal home for one person or as self-contained guest accommodation. The 9 and 12 m² models are intended as storage, workshop or studio space rather than as a dwelling.

What does the price include, and what is extra?

The price covers manufacturing in our workshop and professional installation. Transport to the plot is separate: we arrange it with island hauliers and pass you the quote, which usually falls between €500 and €3,000 depending on volume and access. The cabins arrive pre-assembled and go up in one or two days.
